Workshop and Shed
The workshop is part of the garage and one floor down from the therapy end. Access is through the door on the ground floor, or via the steps in the garage pit.
It is a very decent size, easily the length of a large car and the full width of the garage, and is fully fitted out with dexion shelving, plenty of power points and excellent lighting. There is a work surface and a small tool store for delicate work items, and a lockable strong room, made of breeze blocks, for larger tool storage, all with heavy duty locks.
The back of the workshop leads into the car pit, giving access to the underside of a car for any repairs. The sides of the pit are lined with racks for spanners and other tools, plus a mains power supply, and a 12V power supply for small tools or inspection lights.
On the right, I present to you the workshop door, featuring 'Unique Creations'. This is where all the good stuff happens! Cutting, grinding, sanding, welding, painting, you know, all that stuff.
The shed, shown below, is a standard enough shed, size 10 x 12, with a flat platform outside where you can do any manufacturing, repairing or servicing of your garden implements. There is lighting and plenty of power points, with a double padlock for extra security. Whilst the sides and door are made of galvanized metal, there are two roof lights so you can see right to the back.
As the shed is built on a slope, the floor is thick, heavy duty plywood, held up with beams. Under the shed, the slope itself is a solid concrete base and therefore makes a very good storage area to slide things under the shed, perhaps a step ladder, planks of wood, odd things you want to keep hidden away, your garden recycling bags, anything really.
